Flex - It's great - but sometimes not so great.
There are a good number of things I love about flex. Today I ran into one thing that really annoys me.
There is no standard control that loads an animated GIF.
Of all the improvements flex has offered the web development world with RIA capabilities, it amazes me that stuff like this can be overlooked. Sure, gif's are overused and used incorrectly most of the time, but why take the functionality away.
Dear Adobe - please allow gif's to be loaded easily, without a weird custom component.
