My Ramblings On
Sublime Text 2 (beta) - It feels right.
Let me start by saying my text editor of choice has been macvim for some time now. I have used macvim, coda, textmate, bbedit, espresso, and a couple of IDE's, but found myself desiring the simplicity of macvim (assuming you are using peepopen as well, that is). However, that might be changing now that I have been blessed with Sublime Text 2.
Sublime Text 2 is a new text editor, available on Windows/Mac, and touts some neat features but feels as simple as macvim. File Switching is built in, and is blazing fast. The Command Pallete makes common tasks easy to remember and perform. Multiselection, VIM commands, and many more features make me feel like I will be using this for some time.
I could sit here and talk about it, but ultimately, you need to go and find out for yourself if the product is worth it. Don't judge the editor by the look of their website or their icon, or you might miss out on a gem.
